Connect4's New Visual SQL Designer Supports Advanced Functionality for .Net Developers
August 11th, 2005
Los Gatos, California, USA
Connect4 today released its official version of Connect4 SQL Designer. This tool, targeted at the database application development market provides a rich user interface for end user design of SQL queries in Microsoft.Net environments.
SQL Designer provides a rich set of functionality for the developer to enable end users to easily design their own database queries. The ability to define content via database queries is a task that has long been difficult for the end user to master and has traditionally required days of training to achieve only the most basic query functionality. Developers too have had a difficult time in the past with the task of creating an intuitive user interface to help users develop their own reports and specify report content easily. Connect4's SQL Designer provides a significant amount of flexibility, reliability and enhanced functionality not available in any other component on the market.
SQL Designer was designed with simplicity in mind, supporting the developer with an extremely simple to implement toolset both to enable new applications and retrofit into existing applications.
"Having been 'in the wild' as a release candidate for many months, we received some great feedback from the developer community and were able to incorporate all of the requests that we received as well as fix all known bugs and issues" said Timothy Hall, product manager. We are thrilled at the great reception the component has received from others in the developer community.
The released version of the software is Available immediately for download from the Connect4 web site,
http://www.connect4.net and includes sample source code demonstrating implementation of the component both in C# and VB versions, for both .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0
